How do we connect neighborhoods?
In response to the Atlantic Yards redevelopment, we propose an alternative approach. By projecting the streets of Fort Greene into Prospect Heights, we create ten blocks where previously there were just three. A central public space bonds adjacent hills (Fort Greene + Prospect Parks) into a single network. To divert storm water from the overtaxed Gowanus Canal, we insert a channel into Atlantic Avenue.
